Author’s Note: I write about my Keto journey on my blog. Hence, I get emails from individuals or companies about their Keto products on occasion. Super Fat is one of those companies. After reviewing and testing their nut butters, I agreed to review them. Also, I’m part of Super Fat’s affiliate program. Thus, if you buy any of their products using the links on my website, I earn a commission.
What Is Super Fat?
Their tagline states it perfectly: “Amazing Keto Nut Butters You Can Take Anywhere”
What Are Super Fat Nut Butters Made Out Of?
The company uses high-quality macadamia nuts and almonds. These are some of the lowest carbohydrate nuts one following Keto can eat. When viewing the nutrition facts for macadamia nuts, 1 ounce has 3.9 grams of carbohydrates but 2.4 grams of fiber. That’s 1.5 grams of net carbs!
For almonds, every 1 ounce has 6.1 grams of carbohydrates but 3.5 grams of fiber. That’s a net carb count of 2.6 grams.
From there, Super Fat uses clean ingredients like coconut butter, MCT Oil, probiotics, Pink Himalayan Salt, and organic Stevia to name a few. In other words, these nut butters contain no fillers, no palm oil, and no junk!
Why I Like Super Fat Nut Butters
I enjoy and recommend Super Fat nut butters to those following a Keto or Paleo diet because of the following:
- Low net carb count per pouch
- Clean Ingredients
- Great taste
Low Net Carb Count Per Pouch
Reviewing the various flavors available for purchase, all range with a net carbohydrate count of 3 to 5 grams a pouch. So if you need a snack on the go or want to include it as part of your meal plan, these nut butters won’t blow your “carb” budget.
Provided that I already spoke about the ingredients in this post, I will say these nut butters are certified Vegan, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and Non-GMO.
As I said before, this product is highly portable. In view of that, Super Fat added a special touch to their pouches: A cap!
That’s right: You can squeeze out a little of the nut butter and screw on the cap to save the rest.
Finally, each pouch has easy access to tear it open to access the rest of the nut butter.
Super Fat has some of the best-tasting nut butters I’ve tried. And I’ve tried many!
It’s the combination of flavors and ingredients used. I love the cinnamon undertones, the coconut, and the coffee used. Yes, you can find some of these flavors in nut butters, but you usually find a bunch of sugar in those too.
Finally, if you aren’t a macadamia nut fan (as I’m not all the time), don’t worry, as the flavor isn’t overpowering.
My Main Downside
Like any good, clean product, these nut butters are pricey. A box of 10 pouches start at $34.95. So that’s $3.50 a pouch containing 1.5 ounces. That’s $2.33 an ounce. But that’s the price you pay for clean ingredients.
